Remembrance Day 2024: Show Your Support at BCFC

BCFC logo

On the second Sunday of each November, the nation comes together to honour and remember those who have lost their lives in world wars and other conflicts. This year, we’re proud to announce that the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation will be at Birmingham Football Club on Saturday, November 9th for a special Remembrance event. As we commemorate the sacrifices of those who served, we’ll also be raising funds to support our mission of providing veterans with access to life-changing care.

What to Expect at the Event

This event offers a wonderful opportunity to show your support for veterans while enjoying an afternoon at the football club. You can contribute by purchasing signed photos of Birmingham FC players. All proceeds will directly fund advanced hearing technology and support services for veterans in need.

We’ll have a representative from the foundation available throughout the day. They’ll be happy to talk about our mission and the work we do to support veterans facing hearing loss, tinnitus, and related mental health issues. Please feel free to stop by, ask questions, and learn how your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of those who served.

Whether you purchase a signed photo or simply stop by to say hello, your presence and support mean a great deal to us and the veterans we assist.

BCFC's Generous Support

We’re excited to announce that Birmingham Football Club will be gifting UKVHF match tickets on a regular basis. These tickets will be allocated to veterans as a way to encourage social engagement and prevent isolation. Attending a match can be a wonderful opportunity for veterans to connect with others, enjoy a shared experience, and feel part of a community.

If you’re a veteran and would be interested in receiving tickets to an upcoming game, please get in touch with us. We’d love to offer you the chance to experience the excitement of a Birmingham FC match and enjoy a day out in good company!

Why We’re Fundraising

Hearing loss and tinnitus are some of the most common issues veterans face after prolonged exposure to loud noises. These conditions can make communication difficult, disrupt sleep, and increase stress and anxiety. For many veterans, hearing challenges are more than just a physical problem—they also affect mental and emotional health.

Access to advanced hearing aids and specialized tinnitus management is often limited through standard healthcare services. That’s why we raise funds to bridge this gap. With your help, we can provide veterans with advanced hearing aids tailored to their needs. We also offer aftercare and mental health support.

Every donation directly helps veterans improve their quality of life, reconnect with loved ones, and overcome the isolation that often comes with hearing loss. By supporting our mission, you’re making a real difference in the lives of those who served our country.

Get Involved and Show Your Support

We encourage everyone attending the Birmingham Football Club Remembrance Event to stop by, say hello, and learn more about our work at the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation. Our team will be happy to share how we’re helping veterans with hearing loss and tinnitus. We can also discuss how you can get involved and make a positive impact.

If you can’t attend the event, there are still many ways to show your support. You can donate directly through our website or visit our online shop for pre-loved clothing. Every purchase helps support our veterans. With our current autumn offer, you’ll receive a complimentary scarf with each ladies’ purchase—a great way to contribute while enjoying a touch of autumn fashion!

Whether you join us at the event or support us from afar, every contribution helps improve the lives of those who sacrificed so much for us.
