Mission Statement of Support
The UK Veterans Hearing Foundation evolved from funding being made available in the last three years for veterans with hearing problems. As one of the first organisations to get involved with the dispersing of the fund we learnt a lot about what we wanted to achieve as a charity
Support For Veterans
Our strengths and knowledge in hearing and tinnitus was paramount to offer support to UK veterans, but we also knew that mental health issues were interlinked with tinnitus and we wanted to help with this too.
Our biggest reason for this charity is that we didn’t feel that anyone should make a profit out of Veterans who have served our country, potentially risking their lives and protecting civilians in doing so. We want to give something positive back to any veteran who has suffered with their hearing through their service and to help change their life, improve their outcomes, be the difference to their home life, social life or working environment.
Making Funding Go Further
Help Us Fit More Veterans!
Since becoming a charity, we have managed to fit over 100 veterans with top-class hearing aids! However, we still have more than 1,500 veterans who need our help in getting back to a normal standard of life after the hearing damage they received in their years of service. Any donations we receive are a huge help in the lives of our vets and we are eternally grateful for whatever you may be able to spare.
Proudly supporting those who serve!
UK Veterans Hearing Help (now the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation) received the Bronze Award in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme in 2016, in 2019 we achieved Silver level and in 2020 we achieved the highest level Gold. The scheme provides an award for organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and armed forces community.
