Become a Trustee for the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation
Join the Wonderful UKVHF Team
We are always looking for new and enthusiastic individuals to join our Board of Trustees at the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation (UKVHF). By becoming a trustee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to an organisation dedicated to supporting veterans with hearing loss, making a real difference in their lives.
The UKVHF is the only charity in the UK solely dedicated to supporting veterans with hearing loss and associated tinnitus. Since our inception, we have proudly supported over 100 veterans, addressing this often-overlooked challenge faced by those who’ve served our nation. We are committed to continuing this vital work, but the demand for our services is ever-growing. With a significant backlog of veterans desperately waiting for aid, the support of dedicated trustees and external partners is crucial.
Your involvement as a trustee will help us enhance our efforts, ensuring we can support countless more veterans in the future.
What Is the Role of a Trustee?
Trustees have overall control of a charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. They are the people who lead the charity and decide how it’s run. Being a trustee means making decisions that will impact people’s lives. Depending on what the charity does, you will be making a difference to your local community or to a wider section of society. Trustees use their skills and experience to support their charities, helping them achieve their aims.
At UKVHF, our active and diverse Trustee Board makes informed decisions about the strategic direction of the charity. The individual skills, experience and areas of expertise of Board members are varied, with each member involving themselves in work or sub-committees that suit them, creating an effective and productive team.
