About Mr.Starbuck And The Royal Anglian Regiment
Mr.Starbuck enlisted into the armed forces in 1966 with the The Royal Anglian Regiment, specifically, a part of the mortar platoon. Being a part of the mortar platoon, Mr Starbuck was exposed to loud noises such as explosions, which had a detrimental effect on his hearing.
Because of this, Mr.Starbuck sought out our help from us to fight this hearing loss. After hearing tests and assessments, Mr Starbuck has now received a pair of top quality hearing aids to support him.
How Hearing Loss Effects Veterans
Hearing loss effects veterans in many negative ways, taking a toll on their mental health, relationships and quality of life. Hearing loss often leads to feelings of isolation and depression, these thoughts are extremely difficult to escape for people trapped in this position. All of these factors can also have an effect on a veterans’ family and friends, extending the importance and severity of the problem even further.
Life with the New Technology
Mr.Starbuck is very pleased with his new hearing aids and said that they are “working well”. We are thrilled that his new hearing aids are working well for him, and we eagerly look forward to supporting our next veteran.
