Success for 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery Veteran!

Kevin George Key

Mr Kevin Key started with the UK Veterans Hearing Help in 2018.

Once a hearing test was carried out, it was found that Mr Key has mild to severe sensorineural hearing loss in his right ear, and a flat severe sensorineural hearing loss in the left ear.

How his hearing has been affected:

The hearing loss in his left ear is greater than his loss in his right ear when having conversations with people, he asks that people stand to his right to be able to have a better conversation than if they stood on his left. Mr Key is the Chairman of his local Parachute Regiment Association which involves regular meetings, due to his hearing loss he struggles in these meetings. Mr Key visits the pub with his brother and friends weekly, and this is a great struggle for him especially with the back ground noise. Hearing his wife around their home is also difficult for him.

Mr Kevin Key on his fitting day.

Mr Kevin Key was fitted on the 5th July 2020 by Leanne Jones from Hear 1st and has been fitted with a pair of top of the range Phonak M90 hearing aids, with a TV link also been set up in his home.

Mr Key is absolutely thrilled with his new hearing aids and in particular the Bluetooth capabilities. The TV Link will be a big help when he’s watching TV with his wife, because they need 2 completely different volumes.

He will now receive the continuing support from Hear 1st and the UK Veterans Hearing Foundation. We wish Mr Key all the very best with hearing well again.
